The picturesque Bardu River, which is highly regarded for fly-fishing, runs just below the farm

Steirud Gård is located on its own around 5 km from the township of Setermoen in the Bardu Municipality in Troms County in Northern Norway. The nearest airport is Bardufoss (30 km), while the nearest city is Finnsnes (70 km). Narvik is 90 km (southwards), while Tromsø is 160 km (northwards). Click here to view a map.

Directions
Continue on the E6 around 1 km north of Setermoen. Turn off at the intersection, and follow the sign to “Alpinanlegg” (alpine skiing centre). The road crosses the Bardu River and continues to the right. Just over 4 km from the turn off, you will see a letterbox stand marked “Steirud” (see photo). Turn sharp left and then it’s about 100 m to the farm buildings.
